Review – unlike previous times, we now live in a world where cameras are everywhere and are now part of our daily lives, while taking the opportunity to monitor our children, the house or our pets in real time. They have also become very important so that we can manage and monitor the security of our home or office ourselves. The SimCam is another surveillance camera designed to provide consumers with as many features and functions as possible in an attractive and compact housing.

On the front of the camera, the camera lens is located in the center, surrounded by a somewhat transparent black lid. There is an LED indicator on the top of the front panel that indicates the condition, and when viewed in the dark, red/infrared LEDs can be seen behind the semi-transparent lid, or maybe it looks more like a tinted lid.

There is a speaker grille/vent grille on the back of the camera body and a covered compartment just below it. On the back of the panoramic base is the connection of the power adapter and a mounting hole that allows you to insert the mounting bracket for wall or ceiling mounting.

Above the power supply and the wall mount on the back of the camera body is a compartment fixed with an Allen screw. An Allen key screwdriver is included to remove the screw. Inside the compartment is the Reset button and the micro SD card slot. SimCam includes a 16 GB micro SD card with the device.

The configuration of this camera is very simple. The 16 GB micro SD memory card is installed in the camera, so if you don’t want to just see it or switch to a card with more capacity, you don’t even have to open it. It’s as easy as scanning the QR code on the included card and downloading and installing the app. The only other consideration that can be before or after setting up the camera is the mounting options. A bracket is included, which can be connected to the camera base and screwed into a wall or ceiling.

Once you have connected the camera and downloaded and installed the app, the camera can be configured. The application requires you to create and confirm an account, and then you can configure the desired options. There are voice commands that confirm the actions you perform and change the settings of the camera. Below are some screenshots of the app, including the ability to scan and set up face recognition and set live viewing times so you can view them from the app, for example, when you are away from home.
